TAKE A QUIZ AND KNOW YOUR SKIN TYPE

Image
With so many skin care products to choose from on the market, without proper skin diagnosis one could possibly be spending money on products that are ineffective, aggravate your existing skin condition and that could potentially cause serious skin damage. Thus, understanding your skin type is crucial for effective skincare regime. Skin is generally classified into four main skin types: oily, dry, normal and combination.  There are three zones that the face is divided into that you should know to be able to easily identify your skin type; the T-Zone, S-Zone and the Eye-Zone. The T-Zone is the area that covers the forehead, nose and the chin. This t-shaped area is mainly made up of oil glands and it is prone to oiliness and acne break-outs. The treatment is ...

The risk of having skin cancer, premature aging, development of permanent hyper pigmentation and skin irritation can increase as a result of sunburn. In certain cases, the skin becomes excessively dehydrated and starts to peel off; often on the nose, forehead and the...

THE ANATOMY AND PHYSIOLOGY OF SKIN

The basal layer of the skin is the hypodermis also known as subcutaneous layer; it is predominately made up ...
